Omakase in Utah County: The Dinner That Keeps Selling Out

A few times a year, we clear the calendar, cap the seats, and let the kitchen off the leash. No menu to order from. You sit down, and Chef Skyler and the team cook for you, course after course, until you understand why omakase translates roughly to "I leave it up to you."

Our June 2025 omakase sold every single seat. So did February's. The one before that came within two seats. We are not saying this to brag. We are saying it so you book early.

What omakase night looks like at Under Wraps

Omakase is a tasting menu with the training wheels off. The team builds the menu around what is best that week: the fish we are most excited about, a cut of A5 wagyu, a dish one of our chefs has been perfecting on the side. You get a long procession of small courses, each one explained as it lands in front of you.

It is the closest thing we do to a chef's table. If you have only known Under Wraps as the hand roll spot with the anime mural, omakase night is the other side of the kitchen.

Who it is for

Date nights, birthdays, the friend who watches Chef's Table, anyone who orders the black cod nigiri and asks questions about it. You do not need to be a sushi expert. Curiosity is the only requirement.

How to get a seat

Omakase nights are announced on our events page and to our email list first. Seats are genuinely limited, usually 18 to 25, and recent nights have gone fast.
